Why StudioSai exists

We watched resellers charge two or three times the real market price for the same digicams — and far too often, what showed up wasn't what was promised.

Cameras sold as "working" that had quietly been opened and patched. Scratches and dents left out of the photos. Vague listings with little real information about the actual condition.

Sometimes none at all.

For a camera meant to capture your memories, that felt wrong.
So we built the opposite.

How we do it differently

Every camera that leaves StudioSai is tested by hand — sensor, lens, flash, buttons, screen, all of it.

We grade each one honestly on a clear condition scale, and we show you the real photos, marks included. What you see is exactly what you get.

We price fairly, based on what these cameras are actually worth — not on hype.

StudioSai started with one obsession: the way old digital cameras see the world.

The grain. The flash. The accidental colors. The slightly-too-saturated blues of a 2003 summer.

We believe these cameras don't just take pictures — they hold a feeling. The kind of feeling that smartphones, with all their perfection, quietly erased.

So we set out to find the best of them, one by one, and bring them back into hands that will use them.

Most of our cameras come from Japan — the country that invented them.

Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Casio, Pentax, Panasonic… every iconic CCD camera was designed and built there, and decades later, Japan is still where the cleanest, best-preserved units survive.

We work with trusted partners across Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan — collectors, refurbishers, and second-hand specialists who know these cameras as well as we do. Each unit is hand-selected for its condition, originality, and the story it carries.

We don't buy in bulk. We don't buy cheap. We buy the ones we'd want to keep ourselves.

Once selected, every camera travels to our central studio in Bejing, China, where our team takes over.

Professionally cleaned and inspected
Photographed under controlled lighting for the listing
Carefully packaged with our signature accessory bundle

From Beijing and Paris, we ship worldwide — to over 40 countries, with international tracking included.

For our European customers, we also keep a rotating stock in our European fulfillment point in Paris, France, so the most popular cameras can ship directly within the EU.
